If your picture has been blogged here, it means that it has appealed to dozens of art jurors for a whole week or more. Congratulations!!!
Hmmm... but what does that mean ??? well according to This ... it means your picture is "... extremely resistant to people wanting to get rid of it", :)

Vang Vieng is a town in Laos, located in Vientiane Province. The population is around 25,000. The market is located five kilometers north of the town selling Lao textiles, household items and several stalls selling dubious foodstuffs. It is possible for stalls to sell bats, squirrels, monkeys, rats, mice and other animals as food. The real attractions of the area of Vang Vieng are the sceneries, steer limestone cliffs, rice paddies, cascading rivers and the numerous caves and caverns.
This photo was taken in the morning from our terrace. Breakfast beside the river at of our Ban Sabai Bungalows. Such a lovely way to start the day. Beautiful view on the paddy fields where the clouds are hanging behind the steer limestone cliffs.

Fishin' in the paddy fields
To get rid of poverty, the farmers have started cultivating fish on their paddy fields to maintain their livelihood. Fish breeding in paddy fields encouraged. Considerably raising the per-hectare yield of rice and fish production In the rainy season throughout this region many small fish can be caught in the paddy fields and small ditches: an environment highly familiar to the Lao people. The small fish are used to make a dish called Pa dek. It is a kind of fermented salted fish, and to the people of Laos, this food is second only to rice in importance. The dish is made by mixing together rice bran, fish, and the salt harvested from the earth. The mixture is allowed to stand for over three months and is then ready to eat. A specialty of this region and an extremely important element of the culture.
I think the best way to explore Laos is by bicycle or feet. Meeting friendly Lao people in the small villages along the way and enjoying its countryside. I had to stop many times to make a photo. A beautiful scenery of rice fields next to the limestone hills where the clouds are hanging. I capture this boy fishing while his father was working with his hand tractor nearby Vang Vieng.
orange sky before the storm
I was sitting comfortably in my chair when suddenly this interesting "shadow" seemed to arise like a phoenix out of nowhere. The "shadow" turned out to be this amazing light coming from the skies, which, of course, captured my attention. I arose and took my camera and went outside knowing that it wouldn't last long (and it didn't, unfortunately...maybe 4-5 minutes if even that amount) because of the ominousness that was brewing behind it. The wind was rather gusty, which is somewhat apparent here (ie: the leaves on the car (which were wet from a previous rain before this interesting light)). So yes, I was able to catch this, although I would much rather had been in a more "framed" or unengulfed territory, but I don't complain, so I take what I get. I'm blessed that way.

This is another 20 year old Fujichrome Sensia 100asa slide. And you may remember a similar one to this but this was taken after that one.
A step into surrealism but this is real, Louize sitting on the promenade at Hastings on the Sussex coast scanned in from a slide and using a diffuser filter helped with that surreal feel also a 19mm wide angle lens with a linear polarizer filter tilted upwards!
